Headquarters
Sifu Bruce Clark began his Martial arts training in Judo at the age of 11
years. He later went on to train in Lau Gar Kung Fu, Freestyle Karate, Tae
Kwon Do, Go Joe Ru Karate and his chosen art of Hung Ga Kung Fu.
Whilst living in the USA Sifu Clark studied Hung Ga Kung Fu under
Master
Pedro Cepero Yee, a senior disciple to the World renowned Grand Master
Yee
Chi Wai (Frank Yee). During this time, Sifu Clark was a familiar face in
the Martial Arts community taking part in Lion Dances and demonstrations,
including Chinese New Year in New York's Chinatown. In addition, Sifu Clark
placed in many tournaments across the USA, culminating in National Number
Two ranking for Lei Tai full contact stage fighting.
Having lived in the USA for ten years, Sifu Clark decided to return to
Scotland to begin teaching Yee's Hung Ga Kung Fu in Aberdeen.
In November 2002, Sifu Clark took a team of seven students to the Northern
Regional Kung Fu Championship in Coventry, England to participate in Sanshou
(full contact fighting), Qingda (semi contact fighting) and demonstrate hand
and weapon forms. Sifu Clark's students returned with a total of eleven
medals and made such an impression that Sifu Clark was given the title of
Scottish Sanshou fighting coach for the British Council for Chinese Martial
Arts; the official Sports Council recognised governing body for the UK.
The Aberdeen branch of Yee's Hung Ga has been running successfully for 5
years and recently opened a full time school in the City, making it the only
school in Europe teaching Yee's Hung Ga Kung Fu.
Sifu Bruce Clark is Master Pedro Cepero Yee's 8th senior disciple and is 5th
Generation from Legendary Chinese Folk Hero 'Wong Fei Hung'.
