Sifu Chi Wah Lee
Wong Fei Hung's Fourth Generation Disciple
New York City - East Village Branch
Inspired by warriors and kung fu fighters from China's past, Sifu Lee became involved in the Eagle Claw style of kung fu at the age of 12. Since then, he has studied many different martial arts systems of the Asian culture; including Karate and Philipino Stick fighting. Sifu Lee started training in Hung Ga with Grandmaster Frank Yee in 1992. He has been involved in the forms, fighting, weaponry, internal training and lion dance of this art. On a personal note, "Martial arts has kept me in peak physical condition. It has taught me to be confident wherever life has taken me. It also offered me insight into the history and culture of the arts I have studied. Martial arts create a path and direction to travel. The path has sometimes been wracked with pain and frustration. However, these obstacles and challenges were instrumental in my learning, growth and development. Martial arts has tempered my spirit and forged my character. It is truly a life journey."
Sifu Lee may be contacted for both private and group classes.
